Irish Black & Tan Terriers are well balanced, even tempered, short, stocky, well muscled terriers, quite like the short legged type Jack Russells in build, so much so, in fact, that it seems the two breeds have sometimes been mixed over the years, with the IB&TT's being mistaken for Black & Tan JRT's.
However, we believe the breed to be an old one and know of several other breeders in the UK, Ireland & the USA.

We have aimed to breed Terriers of good type & temperament. There are no kennels here at Cairnstorm, our dogs live with us and they are an important part of our lives.
